Correction and Retraction Policies

Dunya Journal of Medical Sciences (DJMS) is committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of published research. In line with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Guidelines, DJMS publishes corrections (errata and corrigenda) and retractions when necessary. All such notices are transparently linked to the original article.

Corrections

  • Errata: Issued for errors introduced after the proofreading process, including typographical, editorial, or publication-related mistakes (e.g., misspellings, omitted words, formatting errors, or incorrect figure labeling). Authors must directly email the editorial office (info@dunyajournal.com) to request an erratum. Corrections will be based on the final proof provided before publication.

  • Corrigenda: Issued for author errors that do not impact the overall results, interpretation, or conclusions of the published article. The inclusion of new data is not permitted.

For scientific corrections or issues related to authorship, all involved parties must provide written agreement before the correction is published. If an author’s name was omitted, a signed letter from all authors, including the omitted author, must be submitted. If needed, the handling editor of the article will be consulted.

Retractions

DJMS follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines when retracting articles due to ethical violations, significant errors, or research misconduct. More information on COPE’s retraction policies can be found here.

DJMS upholds the highest standards of scientific integrity and transparency, ensuring that published research remains reliable and trustworthy.
